Do you want a fancy restaurant salad in the comfort of your own home? Wish granted. For me this salad checks all the boxes including crisp, crunchy, tangy, and a little sweet but not over the top!
Try this Cranberry & Walnut Salad combination the next time you want a high quality salad. This is a simple salad that pairs well with any dinner or can easily be made into a meal.
Love it or hate it, blue cheese pairs beautifully with this salad combination. Be sure not to go over board on the blue cheese as, Dr. Gundry recommends only one ounce of cheese a day! Make sure any cheese that you use is from a compliant milk source.
Lets talk about Cranberries…
This salad uses organic, dried cranberries, with no sugar added. These types of cranberries usually have to be ordered because they are hard to find in super markets.
Be sure to check the label when buying dried cranberries, usually they contain surprisingly high amounts of sugar.
Trader Joe’s offers an organic, no sugar added dried cranberry however not all of the ingredients are compliant. I still buy these sometimes as I feel the trade off is ok but you should make your own decision if they are right for you or not.
