INGREDIENTS

Here’s what you need to make a Rosemary & Blueberry Smash Mocktail.

For Mocktail

  • 20 blueberries

  • 2 oz rosemary simple syrup (recipe below)

  • crushed ice

  • sparkling mineral water

  • rosemary sprig (for garnish)

  • 3-4 blueberries (for garnish)

For Rosemary Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 c Allulose sweetener

  • 1/2 c Water

  • 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs

INSTRUCTIONS

Here’s how to make a Rosemary & Blueberry Smash Mocktail at home.

For Mocktail

  1. Place 20 blueberries into a microwaveable cup with the rosemary simple syrup. Microwave for 20-30 seconds or until blueberries are ready to burst

  2. Using a muddler or a fork burst the berries against the sides of the cup

  3. Transfer blueberry/rosemary syrup to the bottom of high ball glass

  4. Add crushed ice to fill glass

  5. Slowly pour the mineral water to fill up the glass, if you pour too quickly the layered effect will dissipate

  6. For garnish- using the top 2 inches of the rosemary sprig, peel the leaves from the stem leaving enough room for the remaining 3-4 blueberries to be threaded onto the bottom of the stem. Thread the blueberries and gently toss on top of mocktail.

Rosemary Simple Syrup

Yields: 1 cup of simple syrup

  1. In a small sauce pan bring the allulose, water, and 2 sprigs of rosemary to a boil. Use a wooden spoon to stir until all ingredients are combined

  2. Turn off heat and allow to come to room temperature

  3. Use a sieve, a fork, or your fingers to remove the rosemary and store in a glass jar in the fridge until ready to use. Optional: Add remaining fresh stem of rosemary to glass jar for enhanced flavor over long term storage
